On December 6th -7th, the International Council of Shopping Centers hosted its first international convention since 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the goal of bringing the industry back together for a safe, affordable and productive event, with programming focused on networking, reconnecting with business associates, as well as re-establishing in-person deal making. According to an ICSC staffer, ICSC “Here, We Go” was host to about 9,000 registered attendees, including many of the industry giants.
Silbert Realty & Management Company was represented by team five members of the organization highlighted by President & CEO Brian S. Silbert, Sr. Vice President of Retail Services David Greenman, Property Manager and Leasing Associate Christian Harrington.
As an active member and attendee of ICSC and their events since 1993, Brian Silbert applauded the ICSC committee on the success of the event, stating “Bringing retailers, brokers and many valued professionals together for meetings and presentations was certainly a welcome occasion for all attendees. My team and I participated in a number of presentations and productive meetings with some of the premier national retailers.”
The convention was one that saw many new inductees into the chamber of commerce as well as the appointment of new ICSC chairman Glenn Rufrano. As an organization, Silbert Realty & Management Company is excited about the direction Mr. Rufrano has in mind for the committee, “This will be a multiyear process: remaining relevant, attracting more members and helping those members make money.” (Glenn Rufrano’s long career takes another step: Meet ICSC’s new chair).
