SRM Team Leases Freestanding Allendale Former Bank to Established Restaurant

David Greenman, Vice President of Retail Services has leased a 3,210 SF, former Bank of

America at an outstanding downtown location W. Allendale Ave and Maple Street, opposite the Allendale NJ Transit Train Station. The repurposing of the bank to a quality established restaurant group and is slated to open later this year. The property was sold in 2021 to a local investor represented by SRM.


The Stro Companies leases Industrial Building within Union, NJ

Assistant VP of Retail Brokerage, Joel Tomlinson recently consummated a long-term lease with "Rise Against Hunger" on behalf of a prominent industrial property owner, The Stro Companies, based in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The 11,500 SF leased premises at 60

Milltown Road is part of a 3-building industrial complex totaling 127,000 SF and situated on 7.2 acres. Ideally located, the company is immediately off Springfield Road and approximately ½ mile North of Route 22 and 2 miles south of I-78 (Exit 49, Morris Avenue). The lease with Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief non-profit organization coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other aid to people in developing nations. The lessee was represented in the transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.


David Greenman and Brian S. Silbert to Exclusively Represent Gamechanger Fitness

Brian S. Silbert, President & CEO, and Senior David Greenman, Vice President of Retail Services are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Gamechanger Fitness, currently with 5 open and operating locations throughout New Jersey; Madison, Bernardsville, Livingston, and Springfield and Maryland; Bel Air. The boutique fitness company founded by Joe Meglio is a best-in-class personal training provider, focusing upon fitness and sustained weight loss through its five existing locations; four of which are in New Jersey and one in Maryland. GameChanger plans on opening multiple new New Jersey locations during 2023 & 2024 and requires 1600-1900 SF within high-income demographic markets.



SRM announces 100% Occupancy within Multiple Clark Township Commercial Sites

As longtime leasing and managing agents for both Clarkton Shopping Center and 1120 Raritan Road, SRM is pleased to announce that both commercial centers have seen their limited vacancies filled. Within 1075 Raritan Road, existing tenant Golf Cave has expanded its current operation to include all of the fourth building of the four-building center, and will now occupy just over 5,000 SF. Clarkton Shopping Center has been successfully leased and managed by SRM for over thirteen years, for a longtime ownership group. Additionally, as leasing agent and property manager of 1120 Raritan Road, Christian Harrington, welcomed the highly recognized tenant Minuteman Press, who will occupy the last vacancy within the center at just over 1,200 SF of ground floor space. Minuteman Press offers a wide array of printing services for over 40 years and throughout 1,000 stores globally and will be a great fit within the busy successful center, according to Christian.


SRM Team Consummates Sale of Bernardsville, NJ Garden Center and Additional Assignments

According to Brian S. Silbert, President & CEO, the firm has announced the sale of 53 Morristown Road, Bernardsville, NJ a/k/a Walters Garden Center. SRM represented the seller, a local family, and a long-time owner. According to the property owner, "We hired Silbert given their experience and knowledge and they executed, seamlessly." A rare purchase opportunity within affluent Bernardsville along Route 202 and a municipality SRM continues its strong market presence with multiple assignments. As exclusive leasing agent for the borough's premier 89,000 SF Bernardsville Centre, major leases are pending within the shopping center on behalf SRM's longtime client the Curnin Family. Within the downtown, at 25 Mill Street, a super luxury apartment building also managed and leased by the firm, according to Lori Griffith, director of "this premier one-of-a-kind apartment building is fully leased and occupied, I have successfully leased and managed this property successfully for approximately 4 years for the owner developer." Upper Macungie, PA, Mixed-Use Retail Center Adds Sherwin Williams, Pizza Hut and Renews Goodwill Keystone

Among the dominant neighborhood developments within Lehigh Valley PA’s Upper Macungie is thirty-year-old Fogelsville Center, comprising a Hawthorne Suites hotel, retail pads of Cracker Barrel Restaurant, Arby’s, Long John Silver’s Mavis Tire, and just opened Sherwin Williams, according to VP of Property Management, David Marconi. “On behalf of our long-time client, the Osterman Family and thanks in large part to Brian S. Silbert’s relationship with Sherwin Williams, we have just completed the buildout of a vacant free-standing 3200 SF former QSR into a household name for paint.” Founded in 1866, The Sherwin-Williams Company is a global leader in the manufacture, development, distribution, and sale of paints, coatings, and related products to professional, industrial, commercial, and retail customers. The largest inline tenant, Goodwill Keystone with 8000 SF just renewed a long-term lease to remain at the shopping center and established retailer and solid co-anchor. With the addition of Sherwin Williams, the retail component of the mixed-use Fogelsville Center development is now 90% leased and occupied and serves Upper Macungie residents and businesses as well as surrounding communities. Situated at the interchange of I-78 and State Route 100, the development has been leased and managed for approximately twenty-four years by SRM and according to co-owner Al Osterman, has been successfully operated and re-positioned recently through the expertise of the Silbert folks “whom I hold in very high regard as they treat our property as if it is their own and make the right judgment decisions!”
